The GIMP is like a open source (or "free" for those who don't know what open source is) image editing program like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Kuyah is asking what the definitions are of the tools used.

Going back on topic...I use the Gimp. I'm kind of new to it, but I can try to help you out. Let me know on what tool you're looking for.

I've tried GIMP and I cant really say I like it. Although it has similarities to Photoshop it cant meet the same quality in my oppinion, If anybody can use this and make good quality images they must be good graphics makers.
