A chobit is considered a legendary Persocon. It is supposed to be a very complex model which has free will. They have in-built learning programs, so even without an OS they can function. That Chii is a chobit is not really in question anymore. The question is now, who is her "black" version? There are dark hints to something tragic happening to Chii if something doesn't occur. More information on this later.
